Empower Integrative Therapy was founded in 2015 by Erin Henry as a space to help people affected by trauma create authentic connection to self, others, and the world. As a student of Duey Freeman, Erin became more interested in attachment-focused work and aligned her practice with this model.

Our deep understanding of relational attachment, gestalt, power and control dynamics, and holistic healing allow us to truly help people heal from relational trauma and attachment wounds.

We serve individuals (of all ages) and families, and specialize in adoption/foster care and developmental/childhood trauma.

We believe…

  • In the power of a deep, safe, and trusting therapeutic relationship to help support someone through the process of change.

  • People who are willing to take action to create lasting change can create a life they love despite the growing pains.

  • In supporting our clients toward action-based results, and helping them to gain awareness, learn tools and skills, and take steps toward creating wanted changes in their lives.

  • That parents who support their children through authentic connection and relationship are able to help support them to learn valuable skills for emotional well-being and health.

  • That it is never too late to rewire your brain and create more adaptive ways of living and coping in the world.

Life is not what it's supposed to be. It's what it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference. - Virginia Satir
